Read More Read more about Call for PapersThe latest edition of the Journal of Research Methodologists is dedicated to exploring the rich and diverse landscape of research methodologies within the African context. This special issue, titled "Research Methods in the African Context," seeks to illuminate the unique challenges, opportunities, and innovations that African researchers encounter and develop in the pursuit of knowledge.
As global academia increasingly recognizes the importance of context-specific methodologies, this edition brings together a collection of articles that critically examine traditional and emerging research approaches tailored to the African environment. The issue covers a wide range of topics, including indigenous research paradigms, the adaptation of Western methodologies to local contexts, the role of decolonization in shaping research practices, and the ethical considerations unique to African settings.
Through this edition, we aim to contribute to the ongoing dialogue on the localization of research methods, offering insights that not only enrich the African academic landscape but also provide valuable perspectives for global research communities. By highlighting the methodological diversity and ingenuity within Africa, we hope to inspire further exploration and innovation in research practices that are deeply rooted in local realities and yet resonate on a global scale.
